About usLakeshore Counseling Center is an enterprise of Volunteers of America Southeast Louisiana. We have been providing counseling services into the Northshore and surrounding Southshore communities since 2018. Lakeshore provides counseling services focus on emotional support, increasing necessary life skills, crisis management, relationship help, communication skills, navigating life transitions, trauma processing, social pressures, validation, and experience affirmation. Diversity amongst counselors who bring a full spectrum of knowledge, multi-modal skills, and experience working with a wide range of individuals, diverse groups, people with unique mental health journeys. Our team is trained to support clients with deeply layered needs, and we welcome individuals navigating heave life challenges and offer a safe space for healing.
VOA is a national, non-profit, faith-based organization dedicated to helping those in need rebuild their lives and reach their full potential. Our services touch the mind, body, heart and ultimately the spirit, integrating our deep compassion with highly effective programs. VOA Southeast Louisiana has been a leading local human service provider for more than 135years. We offer 20-plus programs to support and empower our community’s most vulnerable— children, families, adults in need, persons with disabilities, seniors and veterans in 16 southeast Louisiana parishes: Assumption, Jefferson, Lafourche, Livingston, Orleans, Plaquemines, St. Bernard, St. Charles, St. Helena, St. James, St. John, St. Mary, St. Tammany, Tangipahoa, Terrebonne and Washington. |
