Hi, My name is Asiyah Degruy. I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker-Board Approved Clinical Supervisor. I earned my Masters of Social Work from Southern University at New Orleans in 2003. Since then I have accumulated experience working with children, families, and adults with challenges ranging from difficulty with minor every day adjustments to severe mental illness. Because so many people live with ongoing depression and anxiety my particular area of interest is working with those who suffer from these challenges through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy techniques coupled with mindfulness practices to improve these concerns, along with other techniques. I believe in holistic care of my clients and believe that optimum success in treatment develops when all areas of a person are strengthened and supported. I look forward to meeting you and discussing how we can work together to get you where you’d like to be in your life.
